Diabetes Measurement Criteria

After a meeting with the CHP's we are reviewing the measurement criteria for Diabetes.


The intent of the SLA is to promote six monthly screening; we realise that if a practice is doing opportunistic screening they can be penalised if a patient has a period of high activity particularly towards the end of the year. At the moment it is proposed to move towards an average time between appointments and to develop a model that will accommodate periods of activity, while still ensuring that the patient is seen regularly every six months.


We will of course keep you updated when we have an acceptable model signed off by the CHP's
